Final Reflections

    1     Meaningful Group Discussions     Shannon O'Shaughnessy Throughout the semester, I learned a lot about teaching dance in this class, but my key takeaways are how much effort goes into planning a class/curriculum, how methods of teaching differ for each age group, and how students can tell if you care. Before this class, I didn't know that each teacher needs a mission & vision statement, and an assessment. I now realize that a vision statement can help teachers convey to potential student what they will get out of taking their class. Also, assessments are necessary to keep track of progress, but it is important to keep in mind that assessments come in many forms. For ...
